AFAIK, Lorde didn't & won't sell 5M copies of her debut album.
It's basically making Lana the female Michael Jackson and Lorde a Carly Ray Jepsen.
And SS is at 3M+, VG is at 2M+, Y&B is at 1,5M+...
Lana's winning as always. I won't mention her songs' lyrics and her impact to be fair.

Her debut album has actually many bops (RIP, RDL, FIL, Uneasy).
Yeah, her personality is awesome, but she really believes she's a fashion icon.
