This is just the first step into reality for the Katy fans I guess, first is first week sales, then second week sales, then 2nd single underperforming WW, then rush releases, then another single underperformance (now in the US), then the tour tickets will be hurt too, then suddenly the flop is Katy 
Cause Gaga at least already proved that she didn't needed a 2nd or 3rd smash single to keep selling well, she didn't needed a hit to sell tickets for her tour, etc.

Do you know how much katy sold first week with teenage dream? 192k. She was EVERYWHERE for that album. The truth of the matter is katy is not an album seller. She can't sell off of her name alone, she's a singles artists. That's why her eras last so long, because her singles are so successful and they help push the album sells. It's not rocket science. This is a huge improvement from her last first week sales, even with the decrease that will come next week. She'll hit platinum by the end of December, latest late feb because of her singles. This isn't a disappointment in the slightest.

But does she have singles to push the album this time? I am not seeing many. But Capitol can make weaker offerings happen as well i guess...

Cher's "Closer to the Truth" returns to the top 10, rising 11-8 with a 50% gain as it sells 45,000 copies for the week.
The fact that this will soon outsell Lotus and Warrior is HUMILIATING for both Ex and Ke$hit. One sold out to Max Martin in desperation for a hit and performed half her album on The Voice and still bombed...the other is not even worth mentioning.
How much did Fossildonna's MD N/A sell in its 4th week?

The difference now is that the singles from TD were actually good. PLAGIASM is trash and nothing will save it.

I really don't buy the "Katy is a single artist," a singles artist doesn't sell 6m+ from an album.
But expecting that her singles will always push her album sales is kinda unrealistic don't you think? Or do you really believe that she will repeat the 8 Top 3 (6 #1s) slayage again?
