I think you guys should chill and support GaGa on this one. What made DWUW #1 is not only the pre-order thingy, because the competition was fierce this week. Unconditionally with the benefits of Pre-Orders + Actually Album Purchase + Radio Promo + Official 2nd single but has not gone to #1 yet. SO DWUW really has its own power... KatyCats always support Katy, thus she's huge this era, so why can't we monsters chill and support her all the way? Request DWUW, spread the words, youtube link...

Without radio support and considering damaged made from BTW, its perfomance is super good. 2 days no.1 in US itunes and expected to sell 300k is nothing to be worried and complain about.

I kind of get why some fans are a bit sour about this. Both of ARTPOP's official singles were not allowed a natural and worthy start. The first was a rush-released pop music emergency and the second is an "OMG! iTunes #1 let's make it a single!" rush-release as well.

I'm confident that it'll start performing as an official single should and do better than "Applause" (overall) once promo and radio kick in.

All we can do is embrace double the fun, and whilst it'll be messy...singles are supposed to promote the album, so having two successful tracks simultaneously before release is only going to help.

They can probably get away with this because one is a duet with a different sound which'll be embraced by different formats and crowds from Venus.

If Venus comes along and slays - awesome, but we have to consider the possibility that Interscope were concerned that DWUW took off but sounds completely different from Venus. They might think they miscalculated. It may just not strike a chord and function as a B-Side. Then again, it could smash. If people love the song, they'll buy it - it won't matter when they release it. Plus it has the benefit of a video.

Co-promoting the two songs is perfectly possible too, and if they get a simple video shot next week whilst both are in London for X Factor, that'll be great. Get it out ASAP etc.

Like I said before. DWUW got 2nd single treatment not only because of no1 on itunes It's mostly because of the overwhelming positive responses from the listeners . This song has universal appeal. It will do well. In real life, nobody knows what song is the real single or promo single . When the airplay picks up, sales will too.

And lol at people still bitching about this. Bunch of hypocrites who claimed to be only about the music yet care so much about the charts. I really want her to do well but at the end of the day, I really only care about the quality of the album.

And we almost sure dwyw will be a single. It's just the sequences problem. Instead of third or forth single, it being #2. Imagine the slayage if TEOG became #2 single.

A german monster told me he and some of his friends are trying to record some of the album. Now don't get too excited obviously but he said they are very clever and he also recorded BTW Ball Backstage when he met her before.

I told him not to share it in HQ cause it would hurt her sales lol but you never know. So maybeeeeeeeee there will be some leaks.
