Just because it has been annoucned as the
official single doesn't mean it's going to magically jump in sales. It's the promotion that comes with the official single title that makes the difference.
If this smashes it's just another way for her to break away from her exclusive dance-pop image and reach difference audiences. It showcases her phenomenal vocals very well, which is a good thing.
But what constitutes a promo single and an 'official' single? Obviously Gaga hasnt yet had much airplay, no video, no promo (except for the commercial). She's not going to randomly see a boost in sales just by saying its a proper single now.
