Oh I agree about TIHWD not being single. It's my fave uptempo, but that it's no big deal and the talking parts really worry me lol. Best keep it as an album track, surely no LFN.

If Unconditionally hits #1 I think she can tie her record with LL, Bday & TIHWD. Katy is a force in the streaming department, especially with her videos so she has an advantage now.
I'm hoping for Bday in January-March and LL in April-June and then TIHWD June-August....DR/Ghost for the fall, the TOTGA off Prism

i want her to stray away from the cartooney type of music videos imo but that's just me i want the unconditionally to be like wfl with great cinematography

I don't think it was lazy, it's not like it needed choreography & having a boxing/inspirational video would have been even more cheesy.
I don't see any more cartoony videos from her this time around. She needs to bring her A game for Birthday and take a risk and be sexy as ****. We missed that opportunity with DU.
One of the reasons why she's not so explicit in her videos because of the way she was brought up and she's sheltered. It works for her fans and the GP but she can't be doing it forever
Katy wants Bday, Label wants TIHWD for 3rd single. One of them is going to be the next single.
Katy has got her mind set right. "Birthday" is sort of similar to "Treasure" by Bruno Mars (both are kinda funky up-tempo throwback songs) and we saw how that performed. Except Katy excels on radio and sales more than Bruno + she has streaming on her side. If this gets released in like February, after "Unconditionally" has finished slaying everything, than I can see it going #1 in April/May.
"This Is How We Do" can be the fall single, after "Dark Horse" slays over the summer. It might sound like a summer jam, but at the same time it has a cool teeny feel to it, and since most kids are going back to school at that time, I can see it doing really well.

It was basically relying 90% on Katy's beauty to be a good video. It is a good video but when you watch CG right after it, it looks like she didn't try that hard. She didn't need to anyway, the song didn't need a video to slay
