Maybe. But the difference between Katy Perry and Lady Gaga is that Katy Perry's bad, generic, filler tracks are listenable and, at the very least, current. Lady Gaga's music always sounds dated, or extremely busy. Lady Gaga doesn't know how to edit when it comes to production, so it tends to sound like a ball of noisiness with some nonsensical lyrics over the top of it. That never makes good music, but Lady Gaga lacks the self-awareness to see that.

Actually, they're only nonsensical for people with no thinking skills. It doesn't take more than a brain and a bit of effort into thinking (unless you're lazy) to decipher what she means with that line "one second I'm a Koons then suddenly the Koons is me" tbqh and that part you say that her music sounds dated and like a ball of noise.. Katy's PRISM is actually a rehashed 80's pop album, and I prefer to listen to all the tweaks and little details that excite me on the few snippets we've heard from ARTPOP than the cringeworthy lyrics from PRISM. And that says a lot when we're talking about her most "mature effort". I think we should just let the GP to decide.

Well it's all coming back to people's preference.. If gaga still do the electronic-dance thingy on artpop then, i'll still always say Prism is better only because i'm not into gaga's kind of music to begin with.
Yes, but stop trying to make GaGa's music like some sort of puzzle or book that only a genius can decode. Her lyrics may be on another level than Katy's but it doesn't necessarily mean they always work better.
