Gen 5 had the best story, but its region was awful, it added nothing to the game play in terms of mechanics or pushed the franchise forward, Its recycled designs of Gen I Pokemon were laughable, and its post-game was tedious.

Gen III remains overrated

When I beat the Elite Four and got to the Friend Safari, I found one of my safaris had Lampent. I was excited to catch a Lampent with Shadow Tag but resigned to the fact that it may lessen my argument somewhat, as I wasn't expecting such an easy way to obtain Pokemon with hidden abilities. My main tactic to find one was to just run away from the battles and see if I got caught or not. After a while of doing this with no luck, I got fed up and on a whim looked up Lampent in Gen 6.

Imagine my surprise when I learned that, as of Generation 6, Lampent and Chandelure no longer have Shadow Tag as their Hidden Ability. Instead, you can catch Lampents with the ability Infiltrator in the Friend Safari and evolve them into Chandelures with Infiltrator.


WHAT DOES THIS MEAN?

• Mega Gengar is the only ghost that is gonna rock Shadow Tag.
• Shadow Tag Chandelure will never, ever exist.
• I was completely correct with everything I said and you will all seethe.*

*Serperior was also included later in the debate but it started with Chandelure so I'm not gonna count it.

Interesting. Not going to hold onto it but it could be possible for secondary hidden abilities. Speed Boost Scolipede does exist. Still fine with it being removed, one ghost shadow tag is enough and Gengar >

The post game is great. They made raising a good team accessible and enjoyable, and there's lots of stuff to do in Lumoise. And all the customization, online play, PR vids, friend safari, etc.

Like what the hell are y'all talking about with this "no post game" mess. Husky and I make fun of it every time we're hanging out playing the post game
