Most albums have steep sales drops after the opening week. JT has mainstream appeal, likeability, and solidly radio friendly tracks. 20/20 part 2 will likely sell like a Rihanna album, slow but steady. As long as JT releases good singles and videos, Part 2 will eventually go platinum within the next year. Kanye is more or less in the press these days because of negative press/controversy and pics of Kim's ass, not because of his music. Yeezus is kind of like a typical urban/hip-hop album, with front-loaded sales and little staying power.

Comparing them, Yeezus' third week was a 40% drop (to 39K).
JT's drop will be around another 75%-80%.
