Warner's Gravity led the way on Monday with $6.20 million. In the process, the Alfonso Cuarón directed sci-fi drama starring Sandra Bullock and George Clooney set a new record for the largest ever unadjusted Columbus Day performance. The previous record holder was last year's Taken 2 with a Columbus Day take of $5.50 million. That Gravity set the record in its second week of release (Taken 2 was in its first week) makes the accomplishment even more impressive.
The Hurricane wont stop.
