Lol how can you reference the ARTPOP era? All she did this era was desperately trying to recreate the fame era with the bows and the bs, hell she even played it Katy like at the GMAs, let's not forget the hilarious attempt at a signature look with the painted face at the beginning of the era. You can't reference an artpop era cause it's basically just a desperate, non interesting attempt at creating her past success.
And yes if you can view that skit as shade, it's more Gaga shade than anything considering Katy was performing her CURRENT smash.
