Wait... They first said the lead single was produced by a female (refering to Venus), but it ended up being DJWS...


Jeff and Dave both said that the lead single was always Applause and didn't change...

Maybe they were told Applause and Venus were the lead singles at the time and were to be decided.

That explains why on the album date reveal it said "The single" and not a specific name, because it was still being decided.

Yeah, but Gaga has a team behind her to prevent it from happening. That being said, if the album has now been handed in and has already started to be printed, anything could happen from now on. Come monday it's only 4 weeks before the album release, and it's not a complete stretch for it to start leaking.

Venus could start leaking next week too. It was around the time of next week that Applause started leaking.

This is being realistic. It's obvious they want a single for each producer and It's obvious they're going for more singles this time around, considering it's only been 2 months since the last single.

Aura has to be a single, right? After all it is (most likely) the Telephone sequel. And I know Venus isn't the sequel because when Gaga had us vote for the 2nd single on Twitter, she said we would "know which one to vote for" if we wanted the sequel earlier. Venus wasn't one of the options. And Sex(xx) Dreams is not the sequel. Aura might be the 3rd single, idk.

It's not 3rd, they're not stupid like the we're with Judas, it's probably going to be the last single so it won't kill/drag down the era prematurely.

Fast forward to 5:10. Gaga says Sexxx Dreams and Applause were the top contenders for first single. I'm so confused about how the first single was chosen since Jeff and Dave said Applause was chosen as the lead single in 2012.

The best we can hope for at this point is a Telephone performance with Gaga and Beyonce on Gaga's Farewell Tour at age 90.
