Art is subjective but it's art. Whether something is art or not is not subjective.
I doubt people listen to Lady Gaga's music and think "OH GOD

SHE'S SO ARTISTIC"
But that doesn't mean she's not an artist

You can believe that her music is meaningless, but that's your own opinion. It has no bearing on whether she's an artist, just that you don't care for her music.
