In April 2007, Clarkson took part on the "Idol Gives Back", a fundraiser for people in poverty in both Africa and the United States, performing "Up to the Mountain" along with Jeff Beck.[129] She would also perform a five-song set later that year on the American leg of Live Earth concerts opting for environmental awareness about climate change.
