I guess I have to repost one of my iconic posts again: Long story short: Don't worry about Nicki vs. Mariah. It's clear who won that battle and just like those Kim floppibles they will seethe, foam, accept and then deal. I went HAM on those lessers summer of 2012 and it was therapeutic to kill dirty roaches but it's Nicki's game to lose. Watch them get stomach ulcers, have aneurisms and eventually suffer from anorexia nervosa as they watch her success, win, brand, conquer, achieve, believe, receive while they seethe.
Ok, so that was mean to be a long story short but who am I kidding? I spent too many years in undergrad and grad learning how to write essays and dissertations...it's ingrained in me now

Mariah was offered X factor but for smaller amount of money.
Mariah was struggling to chart with Triumphant and wanted to use AI to boost her image/profile and thus pushed her album back.
Mariah and Co. had AI sway her and she agreed as long as she was offered the most start off fee than any other host. Being the diva she is she basked in it and just assumed that she would be the only female on the panel. AI pulled a bait and switch and then decided to bring in Nicki from the rear for 12M at the last minute.
Mariah found out and hung up the phone like an aging, insecure diva.
Mariah, while being a veteran, clearly wasn't smart enough to put a clause ensuring she was the only female.
Nicki heard the rumors and didn't buy into them because her last encounter with Mariah was pleasant.
News broke out that Nicki was being swayed and Mariah's fans were outraged and came up with ideas to fill the 4th slot. Mariah being insecure and not wanting to be upstaged retweeted this and co-signed on this bs (I follow both mariah and Nicki) i was appalled when she co-signed getting Lenny Kravitz on there as if Nicki wouldn't find out. Disrespectful.
Nicki comes in to the show not believing the rumors.
They start the early shows and Mariah takes jabs.
Nicki then is surprised by Mariah's antics and immaturely holds it inside and then starts to take jabs back instead of just telling mariah from the beginning that she is not tolerating that.
AI producers give Nicki praise for being a great judge and Mariah feels some kind of way with her rambling azz.
Nicki plays along and then Mariah keeps jabbing her until Nicki freaks and says enough is enough.
We get media propaganda painting the black female rapper as the bad guy.
Mariah feeds the propaganda to assassinate Nicki moreso.
Nicki lashes out.
AI didn't choose this as a publicity stunt but then tried to do their best to use this as a stunt.
The real shows start and Nicki blows Mariah out of the water.
mariah didn't get her way of trying to get Nicki off the show and is mentally caught up that the last diva standing couldn't get her way. So she trips, stumbles and fumbles her words.
AI shades the mess out of her by cutting off her rambling as a joke.
Nicki gets polarity (pauz). Strong love/hate which is what you want.
Nicki critiques like a real judge and Mariah rolls her eyes and just acts immature.
Mariah then gets AI to change up the judging so that she is not always going last. Nicki went last sometimes and still outshined Mariah.
They play nice for a minute
Word gets out that Mariah is going to be replaced so Mariah tries her best to speak like an articulate judge. it's too little to late and Mariah is peeved by the fact that a singer with 1/10 of her talent will end up replacing her.
Then they start shading each other again.
But Mariah at least uses AI as a platform for #Beautiful copying JLO's on the floor.
It' doesn't play and Mariah's whole purpose for being on the show is a bust. They didn't revive her career and they used her for credibility when in reality Mariah is too big and grand to be on that show.
We fans revel in the irony as part of Mariah's 2001 breakdown came from the fact that she was paranoid that JLO/Tommy mottola were out to get her by stealing her image/rent a rapper/remix prostitution tactics of the late 90s/00s and going further with it than she.
We find out that Nicki wanted to use AI as a platform for 'High school' but they felt it too risque and contractually if she performed it on Billboard awards she couldn't have it on AI as well. Note: It happens all the time (Ellen gets most people first and then they can go to other promo junkets).
We find out that Mariah and Randy are no longer working together
We find out that Nicki realizes how fake things were between she and Mariah.
In the end, Mariah loses based on what I stated above and Nicki wins because Nicki's purpose succeeded. She came in questioning her choice about doing it but figured it would give her an opportunity to brand herself to middle America that assume a female rapper:
1) is a stripper without a brand
2) can't complete full sentences in an articulate manner
3) can't judge others without being shady and ghetto
4) can't keep her composure (especially after the leak tmz footage)
AI will announce in the summer that both Mariah and Nicki will be replaced. They will make statements appreciating their involvement and state that both queens are welcome to comeback and perform anytime.
Nicki will take the offer for promo for her 3rd album and perform on AI. Mariah WILL STILL BE working on album

Yeah, it's a shame because in the late 90s/00s when she was "eternally 12" I thought it was endearing and funny...baring in mind I was in my middle school/high school/college years. I never understood why my mother was annoyed by it. My grandmother too. They called her a bimbo from Long island. They knew Mariah before she got famous. As an adult that is clearly grown, I see her doing that stuff in her 40s and after having kids and I see what my mother and grandmother were saying about her immaturity and how she got married so young that she is trying to relive her youth and the 20s she missed out having to look older and appeal to older people.
Whatever, Nicki is control of her destiny and that's all that matters.
