They should go with a ballad. Like you said, she needs to show something different in order to sell the album, WB is not gonna seal the deal.

However, people need to stop freaking out, it would be a terrible mistake to release a 2nd single like next week. They need to wait for the week before the album drops, when it's guaranteed Britney will be on TV to promote the following week. Just releasing a "different" song is gonna go the Criminal route if Britney doesn't show it on TV instead of just doing a bunch of radio interviews.

And of course they won't give a **** no more to this era. They're pretty loaded with coins for the next two years. Thanks to Vegas residency. Brit will collect papers from sales, commissions, merchandise and sponsorship. It's a lucrative deal, entirely dwarfing the album.

The song is doing just fine. It really needs a Beats commercial so sales pick up and stay consistent (every smash song nowadays gets a commercial, heck even "Circus" has a commercial on with the Twister Dance commercials). If that were to happen, radio would eventually catch on.

Also, I know CoolestPerson12 earlier was really discouraged about Spotify plays and their power, but even if only 20 of us do it and we all do it 8 times a day (only 8 plays per song a day count) all 7 days of the week, that's 1,120 streams.
