The only really floppy thing about Skyfall was its peak on Pop radio (#37).
Like, how is that even possible after 3 massive hits on Pop and Rumor Has It?
Skyfall wasn't radio friendly at all. It took over 3 minutes to build and most movie singles don't have longevity. That on top of the fact there was no video to push the song back up (it rose alot when the film was released) or actual promo on Adele's part.
Taylor's movie tracks haven't done that well either but I guess that means she's fading too, according to Clump.
I've been ignoring this/ Big lump on my head.
I shouldn't be crying/Tears were for the.
Weaker days, I'm stronger/ now what so I say.
Something's misssinngg.
How can such a beautiful song be ruined by such an awful chorus
The verses and bridge. >>>>>>>>>>
"Applause" has obviously had promo... but there's no way that promo reached as large an audience as "Skyfall" its promo did.
Not that it matters, Adele won't release for another 5 years.
Sorry, but radio, commercials, and being used as background music in NFL commentary have just as much reach as a high-grossing movie, but either way, "Skyfall" won major awards and it wasn't a first single for a new album. "Applause" had absolutely no impact, and won't win any awards. There's a reason no one but ATRL homos questioned Adele's power, and yet every major magazine is saying that Gaga is OVER. Adele won. Gaga lost... yet again.
Adele clearly doesn't like the spotlight. She's not going be in a hurry to rush a release. Besides, the pressure to recreate a 21-sized era and her attempts to write a song not about heartbreak will push the album back a few years.
Adele's been working on the album since the early summer. And she's already stated since last year she knows what sound she's going for.
Remember when they said this year would be just as great as 2011 for pop?
So far I've enjoyed all leads released. Britney's, Gaga's, Katy's, Mariah's, hell even J.Lo's [that's more of a buzz single now, but it seemed like a lead when it came out!].

That song is really bad, I hope you're referring to #Beautiful.

Right? Only on here do I see people say Adele is a flop, can't sing, is fading, etc.
21 is still 84 on iTunes despite there being no promo on her part since February and despite it being released 3 years ago.
