It's not really surprising that they don't have many fans here, considering that this is primarily a pop music forum.
And yeah, I had no idea they were so successful until i just happened to be skimming through their Wikipedia page on day.
My sister went to see them when they came here during the A Thousand Suns world tour back in 2011, but I didn't get to go with her.
