Honestly, the Beatles are trash. This situation is the only reason people say they like them: It makes them seem like they have a better taste in music than they really do.
I admit, the Beatles are legends, but they're extremely overrated. "Stanning" for them doesn't make your taste more impressive, despite what most Beatles stans think.
Yeah, I get this a lot. Not only online, but also during classes or work. Music is subjective blabla. I still haven't found a way to counter this which annoys me. I find this a very weak comeback though. Extremely weak.
Like, you don't go saying Nickelback is better than The Beatles and if you do, everybody knows you're a ****ing retard. I'm not talking about charts and sales, I'm talking about the quality of your outputs. You can't tell me that Coldplay or Adele has better songs than The Beach Boys or David Bowie. And if you do, you know literally nothing about music. At all. Those artists wouldn't have even existed if it weren't for them in the first place. Original is always better.
