Omg. The song sounds good but she's releasing it too close to "Roar" that "Unconditionally" is gonna perform like "Shut Up & Drive".
She needs more distance away from "Roar" cuz it's still flying high...
I'm not worried tbh. Katy has established herself as a radio staple. Whatever she releases will be eaten up by radios. Though I'd like Roar to have more longevity but at the same time I can't wait for her favourite song off the record (which is usually her best song) to be heard.

"Roar" is still gaining on radio... in 2 weeks I still see it riding high on radio. Ppl are gonna prefer "Roar" over "Unconditionally" just like ppl preferred "Umbrella" over "Shut Up & Drive". The 2nd single should be released sometime AFTER the album release.

Do we expect a huge debut for this? I mean, she's performing on SNL a few days earlier so she could promote this (please don't let her perform DH/WoA on TV, please ). Big digital/radio debut is on lock, but will it be enough to beat Royals? (I assume that Royals will be the biggest threat by that time, maybe WB too)

Teenage Dream was released before the album was released. We all know how that turned out. There was about the same gap between and as there will be between these two singles. If you're gonna try and predict Katy's chart run, you should at least base it off of Katy's previous history, not some other girl's
