TAYLOR SWIFT COVERS ROLLING STONE
Covering Rolling Stone this month as well as a ton of other magazines is America's Sweetheart, Taylor Swift. Already have a series of hits under her belt, Swift has no signs of stopping as she discusses her recent success in this month's issue of Rolling Stone, as well as her brand new album and future plans.
Your singles have been doing really well so far this era? It surely isn't a new feeling obviously but is it still a new feeling?
It is. What makes it even better is it's the era that means the most to me and the singles are all doing really well. Two singles in and they've all went top five. That's crazy, you know? I love the feeling.
What placement on the charts do you think the album deserves?
Top five would be nice but if it somehow went #1 that'd be really amazing.
This album is a bit more dark and heartfelt than you last albums. What made you want to dig down deeper with this album and just let everything out?
I just was tired of holding some things in. So I made the choice to write out everything that happened. I did that with my other albums it was never in full details. I'd use similes and metaphors to sort of give the representation of that. This record I just wrote everything out but in very lyrical lines.
Was there a song on there you were worried wouldn't fit on the record?
I was a bit hesitant to put In Her Eyes on there. Simply because it I felt it might be a bit too forward and not as cohesive as the rest of the album. But I was like what the hell just do it and it made it's way on there. It's a fan favorite too so that was a smart decision to put it on the album.
Do you think you'll ever get married?
I don't really know and I'm content with that. If I'm always single that's fine too. I don't like thinking ahead because it's kind of just setting yourself up for failure in my opinion. I like just living in the moment.
Who is your favorite musician in the industry today?
I love a lot of artists right now but I'll have to say Sky Ferreira. She sings from the heart, she writes all her music. She has that down to earth feeling and I like that.
Taylor's Rolling Stone issue is now on sale so be sure to pick it up!
