Janet has never had a triple-platinum record outside of the US, Canada, and Japan. And most of her albums don't even reach multi-platinum either outside of those three areas.

Janet was bigger than Michael and Madonna in the states, but MJ and Madonna's flops have sold more than Janet's most global album outside the states. Janet has never had a global era in her entire career
