Why would they invest in Britney and then give up after low first week sales? I expect this to mean more promo performances than if the song had debuted really high because RCA doesn't want to lose money on the album/Vegas.

Well, RCA had the top 3 added songs on radio this week (Justin, Britney, and Miley,) so regardless of WB and TKO's first week sales, they are probably still pretty happy with what they have out there.
