Adele is as pop as Celine, Whitney, Mariah, Janet, Amy Winehouse, Michael Jackson, Beyonce, Jason Mraz, Sara Bareilles, John Mayer etc.. Pop is an umbrella term. I'm not going to get into another debate over this, but Adele is a pop artist with various influences.
