Don't get me wrong, I wont stop and I can't stop, and will continue to do so when you show your chart chasing colors, but someone has to do it.
And to the stans who have been loyal and positive, thank you. This is just a song, and it is not life or death, and I'm proud of those who continue to support the Queen and keep it cute. We will get through this, just like we have gotten through every trial, every bad candid, every messy weave, every flop 3rd and 4th single, every episode of X Factor, and now....every red update.
I love you all

Well said. I've lurked here for years, and finally joined for FF, I eventually became just a "guest" again through X-Factor and S&S but kept up with the thread every day. I come here because I like Britney and I think she puts out the best pop music and does it from the genre's driver seat. Even if it use to not be so widely recognized or admitted, she constantly changes up and brings fresh ideas into mainstream pop music (which I think she is finally starting to get props for.) I like being able to be able to experience her new stuff with other people who also enjoy her music.
That said, there are so many people (so called die-hard fans even) that just want to drag her down that it makes this all not that fun anymore. If you like the song, who cares where it charts or how much it sells its first week? I want her to be successful too, but she is, always has been, and I know she will continue to be. I just wish people would enjoy the music and let the rest play out the way it will play out and not put so much emphasis on it (at least not so much that you jump ship when it tumbles out of the iTunes Top 10.)
It's one song. If it doesn't do all that well commercially, then so be it. It says nothing about her "relevancy" or that she's "fading." I think Work Bitch is a very good (and risky) song and I hope it rebounds to shut all the haters (and some fans) up. We have building radio support and a music video to look forward to. If it doesn't take off, though, it won't change my opinion about her or the song. I mean, at one point radio wouldn't even play her music, now she's scoring the biggest radio hits of her career. We've seen our fair share of commercial/chart up and downs over the years, and yet all this time later, here everyone is (fans and haters) still talking about her. Regardless of how this goes down, Britney will still remain in her place, at the top of the game.
