I think the video will give it a boost (it'll do even more for it if they premiere it on TV like Scream & Shout,) but to me, it's ultimately just one more piece of the bigger picture. Something that can get the song exposure. I honestly feel like this song has a shot to catch on, but people need to hear it. It's one of those songs that seems to get better the more you listen. So anything to get the song out there is a good thing, in my opinion.
I was just thinking about the song, and I think one of the cool things about it, is that she's giving people something they didn't know that they wanted. Everybody has in mind what they want to hear from her or what they think she'll put out, but yet Work Bitch probably doesn't sound like anyone's hopes or guesses. I think that's why so many people started at "What the f***?!" and then pretty quickly made a 180 after listening a few more times and love the song now.
Britney manages to surprise you and gives you what you didn't know you wanted. It takes you minute to realize she pulled some next level s*** on you, but when you catch on, you're hooked.
But yeah, I don't think the video alone will be the song's #1 savior on iTunes, but anything will help.
