I honestly think this single was a huge risk, it doesn't sound like much out on the radio, is it dance..yes, but it is harder than Clarity, Safe & Sound, Applause, and the Summertime Sadness Remix. It's a gamble, that I hope pays off in the end. I want to look back at this and laugh like we were able to with S&S
They have to have something planned/

Truthfully, everyone was disappointed, including myself. However, I knew in the back of my mind there was never going to be a performance because the "event" was never promoted as a performance by her team. All the media hyped it up about it being a performance along with Vegas news and people got their hopes up for nothing.
I've long come to piece with the fact that Britney isn't going to be the promo warrior of old when it comes to her music. Hell, Britney isn't even the same person as she was back then. Most of the younger stans didn't get to witness first hand Britney at that time. They're living off of old videos from back then. She makes new music because she enjoys to and it keeps her busy. Is it fair? That's debatable depending on what side you're coming from.
It is a risk because it's a polarizing song. I told YoYo, WB will be something either you liked or hated. I was always concerned about radio, but we won't get a solid idea till after a month. It could very much still flop, but we'll have to wait and see.
It's days like these that make me question why I still post on ATRL because I feel too old for these type of meltdowns. I just feel like I'm having one of those many maturity talks that my mom begs me to have with my 17 year old little sister. Relax, breathe, laugh...you'll live longer. Making light shade of the whole situation like some have done helps in getting over it, but the overtop stuff, LAWD!

Every single month! That site gives me so much life. One of my co-workers read one of the articles in our weekly meetings just to loosen up the team before we begin groupthink sessions and such.

Chris is next in line and you need a time out sis. It's not permanent and may only last 7 days. You'll at least have the base which will be more than what some will be able to say in a bit...

IA but the one thing that truly got to me was that she wasn't considerate enough to even say a "Thanks guys!!!" to the fans. She didn't even face them Those poor souls were there for 7 hours for not even a wave of gratitude from her.
I get that she was copter sick but I mean ....
She honestly takes us for granted and her team know that.

Can I get an amen?
I just look at the meltdowns and I just don't ever get it. And then I see some of their ages, and then I'm like maybe it's a me thing. I'm just to old for that now, and that's why I get so annoyed with it.
Main reason, I'm not going back to Exhale. I've had enough. I shouldn't read a thread and get a headache from it.

@Early You and me both will have a good cackle if that turns out to be true.

It always happens. Last era was the best when it came to it but the death threats in the GMA thread were so beyond and twitter stan level.

Hopefully the video will be out by the end of the week next week. I'm figuring the song will be around 15-20 on iTunes (before the vid). And then they can start with damage control, get a banner on iTunes and Vevo, go on Ellen, and hopefully perform the song somewhere.
I think all it needs is a little steam to get it going. I can see it being one of her biggest hits.

Just rewatched her interview, it's so good. She has changed so much for the better. She's coming out of her shell again. Also, which celebs have praised Work Bitch so far? And I can't wait for the music video.

Getting off the helicopter she gave small waves, but I know exactly what you mean. Though, there is more to it than that. Rather people want to admit it or not, there is a reason the conservatorship is still in place. While she has recovered, she isn't fully healed or all there. There is a disconnect that everyone sees. Honestly, I doubt she does it to be rude. The whole thing of what happened to her and the person she is now is weird. While yes, in age, she's gotten more conservative, she's also more withdrawn from everyone it seems.
As bad as it sounds, I don't think it's bad for some to just give up on her being THE Britney Spears super star they expect, but don't give up on Britney Spears the person, the human.
Gotta make my soap board rounds now before calling it a night.
*hugs to everyone around, it'll be OKAY*

Jimmy Kimmel doing Britney promo right now, it was a faux interview for a skit but it showed the "Britney
Spears new single out" GMA banner on the bottom
Not me scraping for any hope at all.

People just need to understand that her priorities are different now and she is happy doing things the way she is doing them right now. We should all feel proud of how much she has improved doing interviews, she was confident, she made jokes, she mentioned her breakup without being asked about it, she talked about writing on the album... I mean come on, am I the only person that see this stuff? I'm sure I'm not, so instead of bashing her and saying things worst than what the haters say about her, just love her and appreciate her for the person she has become and for all her struggles that she has overcome. She doesn't need to perform just because people want her to perform, she is finally doing things for herself not to please the public, that takes courage, taking the risk of putting yourself first is not an easy thing to do especially when the whole world is watching you, and if you don't want to accept her then leave, because honestly this base is acting worst than Exhale, not even other bases are saying such horrible things like some of you.
And yeah too long to read, but whatever.

Britney Spears may be gearing up for a two-year residency in Las Vegas, but her father is still keeping tabs on her estate.
The pop star's conservatorship attorneys filed a motion earlier this month requested that the court continue to grant JamieSpears monthly payments to the tune of $16,000.
Jamie is also asking the court to have his daughter's estate cover the cost of his rented office—which comes out to $1,200 a month.
Brit Brit's papa has been serving as his daughter's conservator since 2008, though for a short while he served alongside her onetime fiancé Jason Trawick, who is now out of the picture.
The attorneys are also asking the court to be compensated for their work since the "Work Bitch" singer is "in excellent financial status," according to their motion.
They're asking the court to increase their normal payment of 50 percent of their fees to 80 percent and also to cover 100 percent of their costs.
From Nov 3, 2012 to Aug. 31, 2013 (ten months total), one of the conservatorship attorneys Andrew Wallet claims that he racked $151,427.50 in fees and $1,426.51 in costs for which he says he was only paid half. He is currently seeking the other half.
Another law firm is asking to be paid in full for their services stemming from the conservatorship case, as well as the Sam Lufti lawsuit years prior.
A hearing will take place on Oct. 17 when Judge Reva Goetz will rule on their requests. But for now, it seems that all eyes are on Britney's latest move.
It's been reported that Brit will earn a whopping $30 million for her Sin City extravaganza. During a Sept. 17 Good Morning America interview, Spears confirmed her Las Vegas residency at Planet Hollywood.
Tickets to her 48-date concert series dubbed Britney Spears: Piece of Me will go on sale Friday.

I can't even say what I want to say because the other bases are perched here and I got enought WPs today. But yeah, if she doesn't care then why should I care? I have enough problems in my life to let this affect me. It just sucks because we know what's coming. I mean, look at some thread bases here... It's depressing.
