Every female popstar on here has a crude joke that sticks to them whether it be man/lesbian jokes or things like skin bleaching.
Like get over it. These are a bunch of crude jokes. It is NOT that serious.

No she's not. Some of the comments are as bad as anyone directing them at gay men. It's not all of sudden acceptable because she's a woman and a lesbian.
I agree with the OP. It's a fair point to make and people need to understand that it's legitimately not okay to do.

Really do you see people calling a man a bitter ******? He is a woman?
Coz whatever gay jokes they do - involve that the male artist is so hot that they are waiting for that artist to come out or osmething

Did the majority of BB watchers here side with Aaryn or did they with Candice and Howard? Why was there such a great support for anti-Racism here yet anti-Lesbian comments are still made on this thread? This is because there isn't a huge support system for Lesbian in ATRL.

From a gay guy to another gay guy, there is nothing "uncool" about being intellectual. You're the one who looks like an idiot by complaining about reading some paragraphs. Being gay and having a brain aren't mutually exclusive.

When people says "it's just jokes" it aggravates me. I'm not a lesbian but my older sister is and I was so offended at the way you just take such a nonchalant approach to that sort of indecency.

Girl whatever.
Everybody on here gets attacked whether you're man/woman, celebrity/popstar, gay/straight, black/white etc.
Stop acting like people have some deep rooted hate for lesbians.

Even if it's just jokes, it's jokes that make it seem okay to discriminate. Because that makes it okay, yeah?
I know it's not meant with harm, but just dismissing it as a 'joke' says it's okay to continue doing it.

The topic of Anti-Lesbian attitudes in this board occasionally is brought up from time to time, but I never feel like anyone has ever actually tried to tackle it head on.
Starting off, I'm a Lesbian. I came out to my parents just last year and always felt like ATRL was a community that I can truly be myself without the fear of being insulted or ashamed. There is a large gay community in this site and for the most part, I felt like the community as a whole tried everything they could to stop homophobia, especially on this site. There are always news articles shredding those who have anti-gay views and we're usually quick to point out any discrimination in the news.
However, on the topic on Lesbians, I feel like a lot of ATRL's, especially gay males, like to make easy yet pathetic jokes or digs against Lesbians. Any time there is a P!nk thread, there has always been people to call her a "d***", and not in a funny way, but as a serious "meant to hurt" insult. Also, people insult her masculinity, her image and her sexuality. This is very hurtful to any women out there who act more tomboyish then most females. It's the automatic assumption that if you're somewhat masculine, you can't possibly be straight, which is definitely not the case.
I'm always floored when I see people making those comments as we have all faced or knew of someone who has been affected by homophobic insults. I feel as though we all should have the maturity to not make such comments and know that these insults hurt not only the person they meant to target, but a community as a whole. Just know that even if you make these comments in jest, it still hurts and still perpetuates the stereotypes and homophobia. The people who don't say anything and let the comments continue are just as bad. It is not funny rather it is downright bullying.
I want the ATRL community to stop allowing these comments to go on. We should reprimand those who make such comments. Going into that P!nk thread felt like a straight up tirade against Lesbians and masculine females and honestly, made me feel like people were insulting me personally. I'm just disappointed by certain member's mentality and shocked by the ignorance, even on ATRL with one of the biggest gay communities.
Just know that if you make these comments, you are essentially preventing progress to be made. Changes in society will happen once more people in society stand up to fight for what is right. I am truly disappointed with some of you members.

Very well said !!! Thank you for making this post, as a lesbian I really appreciate it.

Maybe words won't hurt YOU, but good sis - words have caused gays and lesbians to kill themselves. Words, especially hateful taunts, have a lot more power than you seem to realize.

Being that this site is mostly gay, I find that a lot of gays on here find ******* gross, so that could be a factor. I'm a gay male and I love p-u-s-s-y tho.

P!nk is a strong, hardened and bold. She isn't bothered by the comments of the GP about her being a ****, lumberjack, body builder, bull**** etc. She's proud of who she is and her fans should be too.

You children forget: shade is supposed to be clever. Witty and sharp. Not tacky sexism and racism.
Calling a girl ugly or manly is easy.

It's an escape mechanism so they don't have to own up to their behavior. Suddenly it's your fault.
