Or maybe because we don't care about trivial nonsense like charts and #1s and are actually here for the music? I'm not surprised that you don't grasp this concept when it's all your fav has to offer.
I don't get why Xtina fans hate Lady Gaga. They're so similar. Both had smashing debuts but quickly became overshadowed by their contemporaries (Britney & Katy), both insanely pretentious about their "art" with no reason to be, neither have a career now, both have problems with weight gain, mediocre, non-innovative discographies outside a few hits, etc. Lady Gaga will be a reality music show judge in a few years, I'm sure (she'll gain weight again then, too).
If Gaga will never be a legend, what does that say about Rihanna who is less popular, has sold less relative to output, had less impact, and whose biggest singles don't come close to Gaga's biggest?
