It's different...very different for a launch Britney single. On first listen, I was like "This is so different. I'm gonna have to like this because it's Britney." On second listen, I was feeling the song and finding melodic parts that I really enjoyed."
If anything, the production and melodic structure reminds me of Xenomania (the famed producer because most if not all of Girls Aloud's sound).
It's different from the synth/dubstep breakdown type of dance pop (with elements of EDM) that took over radio the last couple of years. It stands out in a good way, for NOT falling into a comfortable pattern and emulating them. It's what Britney needed to stand out and get everyone's attention. Sonically, it sounds nothing like Roar (which sounds like Brave) and nothing like Applause (which doesn't sound like ANYTHING on radio, also a good thing).
As far as whether or not radio will play a song with "Bitch" in it, they do and they have. Especially with it so a part of the song. However, people need to stop being dramatic. I'm sure Britney recorded a version specifically for radio, and changes "bitch" to "this/it/chick".
