She'll sell another 340-360k this week making 2,1 million in 5 weeks Far from underwhelming and pretty much on par with its radio performance. What could it be doing better?
The only thing that could be underwhelming about this single performance is if PRISM comes with TD-esque numbers.

What I meant was, in the first two-three weeks, she was selling to her fans and the VMA performance.
Now she is selling because of the airplay but Lorde sells almost as much as Katy but with the half of
the airplay

Again I ask what could you want more? AirPlay is not 100% synonymous as we all know. She's doing phenomenal, breaking records and probably more to come for herself and the charts in general. I could only think you want her selling like 600k a week which is unheard of.

Is she? Katy's still outselling her by like 100K weekly, that's not "almost as much."
We all know radio does not have a direct correlation with sales. Look at Mirrors, then look at We Can't Stop.

Yes I want more, let me explain once more, Katy has a daily airplay gain like we haven't seen before
and the approval to the song is high, so I think it must sell even more but it don't, why? If I think about
it, maybe we see now the streaming effect and we won't see in the future the big sales like Gotye
Carly or RITD again.

Katy will sell another 300K+ for a fifth consecutive week. Only other song that's done that (after debuting) is Love The Way You Lie (6 weeks). Roar was not going to continue to sell over 400K forever. Yes, it's winding down from its initial hype, but the fact that it's still selling as much as (or even more than) some other artists' first-week single sales is saying a lot about its staying power.

I don't doubt the staying power of Roar but I think there is a change from downloading to streaming.

You have to also take into account the way the song was introduced. It was a lead single by a major pop artist. Most lead singles (sans Rihanna) are heavily frontloaded. At this point, the airplay is not going to be synonymous with its sales (as most people tend to look at things like that).
Songs like you've mentioned above (STIUTK, CMM, RITD) started off with no hype or no promotion whatsoever. They had sales spikes during their latter chart runs because more people became acquainted with the song and promotion started to kick in.
If this were a PoM-type situation where it was top 5 in airplay and almost out of the top ten on iTunes, then I'd worry. For now, it doesn't seem like that is the case.

Some people buy and stream (I do it all of the time). I am not sure if there will be a progressive switch from digital sales to streaming in the near, but as we've seen in the past year or so, the biggest hits have had strong sales and streams during their chart runs (WAY, STIUTK, CMM, TS, CHU, BL, etc.).
Last year produced 3 6-million sellers (STIUTK, CMM, WAY), and this year will probably produce just around the same (TS, BL, Radioactive)

Katy is selling fine. The only thing about to worry is that she's peaking so fast that her sales could start free-falling along with Radio (which I doubt it'll happen, HAC/AC will spin the hell out of this at least until PRISM release )

Even if she peaks fast, she's already amassed a great amount of sales/airplay, and it really won't free-fall. People still assume that just because a song has already peaked it means it will immediately free-fall. They don't. Not huge ones like Roar.

I remember you saying exactly the opposite about Born This Way when it was in the same situation.

Demons, What Now, Dark Horse, White Wllas, Gorilla, Wrecking Ball, and Slow Down won't be Top 10 in 2 weeks.
Still Into You could be there only if the songs above up free fall, and Work Bitch is going TOP 10!

Does anyone know how to check how many spins a song got by a certain station?

Browse AllAccess by specific station. They usually have a list of the Top 50 spins on that particular stations (along with bullet, AI, basically the things we get.)
Like for example, this is Z100: http://www.allaccess.com/mediabase/q...tation/WHTZ-FM
