I thought Daydream, but I think he likes more pop kind of music, so I thought Emancipation.

The Emotion song kinda blows every initial hater out of the water and makes them see the light, so try that album for one I'd say. Daydream is not a good album to attract new stans with or prove naysayers wrong, so "Butterfly" is another suggestion, as it is very accessible and has exactly the right mix between old-school pop Mariah and classic hip hop-tingued R&B Mariah.
