What they did with Roar is that when the song leaked they immediately sent it out to radio. The leak was on a Friday and the song came out on a Monday, so it got a good 2.5 days of airplay before it was released making the sales more frontloaded and easier for her to top iTunes.

Britney could do it.

Katy Perry is not signed to Interscope, she is on Capitol. It will be a good or bad thing, who knows. Britney has been hyping her comeback for a while, it could work, but if the song ain't that good, who knows what can happen.

I doubt the single will leak 3 days ahead. Maybe a LQ snippet. Her team can be something else at times, but they have been doing a great job keeping it under lock and key so far, even with the MV shoot completed. I doubt they'll screw everything up now.

And with the listening party tomorrow they'll probably do the usual, confiscating phones, iPads, and other devices.
