He screwed over many in the industry and stepped on many toes with his by any means necessary approach for his daughter. Beyonce was hardly the dansel in distress through it all as she claims to be. She was hip to her father's shady antics but didn't mind it because it benefitted her.
It was because her dad cheated on her mom that she cut him off. She thinks he is a liability to her image/brand (and that he is), but he is a major asset to her career as well. She just doesn't realize it or want to admit it.
