"Written by" refers to the people who wrote 1) the lyrics and 2) the music.

My guess is Will, Britney and Ruth wrote the actual lyrics, while the others wrote the music (and also produced the song).

When you guys say you don't want an EDM track, you do realize that you're ruling out several different genres of dance right?

LMFAO, Ke$ha, even Applause aren't EDM... All of that is electro pop. Progressive, Electro and Deep House songs can still sound amazing, fresh and timeless. Don't worry about it being dated if it is one of those. It's going to be great no matter what, anyways.

There was confusion over Nicole Scherzinger's "Boomerang", in which it was said he produced the song, but it turned out that he was just the executive producer. I see the same thing here.

I know, but some of us simply don't want Britney to keep releasing dance music, we had enough of that. It's been rumored she will do urban influenced music, so that's what some of us are waiting for.
