Ariana's problem is she comes off as a mimicry act in her music. Like seriously even her harmonies sound like Mariah's. An artist's musical identity/poise must be a standout if they want to succeed. Lorde is a good example of a young girl who is carving out her own identity. Miley, Demi, and Ariana all come across as reductive.
