Simple. In order for ppls minds to process something they need to put it in a category. It's a lazy way of stereotyping a group. Straight guys are not supposed to be vocal about their love for Britney...all though you don't get high YouTube's and iTunes without knowing that it comes from a diverse group of ppl that don't have to publicly show their adoration.
