Not only would Hair not have flopped, it would be doing better than Applause if released as the 1st ARTPOP single. But considering it's sing-a-long, BIG anthemic nature, is that really surprising?

The lyrics for Hair is cheesy beyond belief. She already has a big "I was born this way don't change me" anthem, she doesn't need to release another one, the GP would've been sick of it. They would've thought the song was stale and musty tbh

I assumed you were responding to my post (since I mentioned Hair quite randomly).

And if you were (and you absolutely were), you'd see BTW was paid dust. I said the singles should have been Hair,MTN,Judas,Sceibe, and EOG (in no particular order).

In this hypothetical/should have been reality, BTW (the song) would have never seen the light of day.

Sex Dreams, MANiCURE, Swine, and probably Aura (depending on the final version, if we get a feat.) are all AMAZING songs that could be hits. The problem is that they aren't generic and don't have basic lyrics that the public would easily accept.

You guys have to STOP putting her music down just because you're afraid she's gonna underperform again.
