It wouldn't make sense for her to debut the best songs from ARTPOP at Swinefest.

It would leave the album release to be underwhelming. She's too savvy for that, let alone her team. I suspect the event was to promote the different sounds on the album (hence why Swine was the only real "EDM" track) and help pick the second single.

i honestly don't get why people say this...like how is this even possible? the new material is easily on par with the album tracks from the fame....lazy songwriting with mildly catchy melodies. nothing remotely close to her best material.

I think the songs performed at Swine Fest ranged from meh to amazing and got me really hyped for the album. I'm sure what we've heard so far is only the tip of the iceberg. ^_^

They are called opinions, sis. I personally think she gave us album tracks and maybe possible singles MANiCURE and Sex Dreams (which I think is incredible) and that she is saving the best songs (produced by Zedd and Madeon) for the album release. But still I think BTW album tracks > ARTPOP album tracks (from what we have heard). We actually don't know that much cause she said the studio versions are very different so this is just guessing.

Also, I think narrowing down the single choices between Sex Dreams and Manicure is pretty smart because both songs stray away from the electropop sounds of Applause which is not very popular on the charts atm (the sound not the song), and gives more leeway for the zedd/madeon singles to smash at later times imo.

I'd be happy with Manicure as a single as it's safer, catchy, and if the performance of it is good, then the studio is way better i assume.

The Fame isn't a bad album but yes, a lot of it can be deemed filler. I will never forgive Gaga for the lazy songwriting in Brown Eyes (If everything was everything, everything, etc etc).

ARTPOP obliterates The Fame in songwriting (a hybrid can withstand these things, my heart can beat with bricks and strings)

Artpop sounds extremely promising. I'm sure it can be as good as BTW to me, or surpass it.

The Fame is overrated, and a mess, and always will be. The singles > the rest of the album besides ILIR/PG.
