Applause peaked at #2 on iTunes when it was released and hasn't been back up there in quite some time. That's frontloaded to me. Whereas Diamonds debuted moderately mainly because it wasn't promoted to hell like Applause was, and it still ascended. Applause hasn't even been out for a month yet and Gaga is already trying to hurry up and release single #2.
