She needs to make Swine mroe rock-y and release it as a single. Period.
I really like that funky feeling on Swine's verses (very "Fame"-ish). I think the whole thing works out pretty well, the EDM/Complextro(?) breakdown is better than I expected, but there's something in the song's structure that rendering from being AMAZING. Like it's two songs put together.
I don't obsess about the charts nor do I let it cloud my view of the music (still love applause & Judas), but I can't say I don't care about them
Although Applause isn't flopping, Gaga has lost all these titles (however insignificant some may be): fastest selling single, youtube queen, twitter queen, etc. And I'm hoping that the next era/next lead single can bring that back for her. I won't leave by any means if it doesn't, and I'm not expecting this era to bring back any of this, but I absolutely love her work being admired and talked about by everyone, so I hope that's in store for her and us in the coming years. I wonder if it's possible, or if it'll never be truly 'in' to like Gaga again.

As long as we're all on the topic of single covers... I REALLY want it to be so beautiful that the GP goes "oh my gosh, that's Gaga?!" If she looks greaT and/or "normal" on the cover, more people would want to buy it. Hopefully.
