When even a generally forgotten fossil like David Bowie can make an impact with new music then it's embarrassing that Paul McCartney can't. There's no actual love for The Beatles. People just love to seem knowledgeable about old music and a Beatles devotion is the first requirement, unfortunately.

It's almost as pathetic as the people who claim Adele stans are band-wagoners. You know like there's no way anyone could possibly like those artists, despite the fact they obviously have bigger fanbases than anyone else as they're STILL selling.
I would like to say no one is hear (hihii) for Paul McCartney's lame post-Beatles music, but that Wings REMASTER that came out a few weeks ago sold more than any Michael Jackson remaster and in fact sold as many copies first week as the entire Rolling Stones remastered catalog combined did its first week.

Point is, there were plenty of great artists to choose from.
And my point was that back then people only had two radio stations and maybe a television, and these days you can get to know pretty much any artist alive, no matter how local or unsuccessful, through the internet. It's not just pop music that's way bigger, it's all genres. And people still somehow end up with The Beatles as their fave. Just no.

Girl, with the decades of "war on cancer" research and the millions upon millions pumped into research, you honestly think there isn't already a cure for cancer? Plus with the billions of dollars drug companies rake in every year with different forms of treatment and diagnostics, why would it be so hard to believe that they would be dead-set against a cure possibly putting an end to a booming industry?
