There's nothing generic about "Roar" just because its very commercial doesn't mean it's generic. It has a message the massive can relate to. All Pop/commercial music is not generic. I love Roar, but I do think it's slightly generic in that it's not really giving us anything new by ways of sounds. An R&B song could be generic too, but only if it sounds like a typical R&B song. Generally, Beyonce never makes these types of songs. I Miss You, for example, is by no means generic. Love on Top is an R&B song and not generic, etc.
So I would not be here for her making generic sounds. I wouldn't mind I guess if the sound was generic but it was still super catchy like Roar, but I would NOT be here for anything close to the video that Roar got. I could not handle that. I am still upset about the BTINH video (which I could only watch once).
