I agree. She means it like, "I won't believe it until I see it, and you probably won't either, but hey, it's something".

Her label probably has an entire server dedicated to all of the material she's recorded for her damn album. This is, what, version 10 at this point?  She could have released a dozen albums by now. But I'm glad that we may finally get it.

NO NO NO NO NO!
This probably means that the "great" people she was going to work with to finish a new album for next year are now a no-go and she has to release the "good" album that's already done. I do not want a bunch of "Sad Dreams" and "Ghosts." Those are good songs but not great songs.
Sky needs an absolutely stunning, acclaimed debut for this long of a wait.

Don't worry, YNTO, 24 Hours, Love in Stereo, I Will, Boys, Ain't Your Right, and On Top are about half of the album that we know will not be Sad Dream/Ghost-esque. I'm Not Alright and Blame Myself will probably be like those two, but nothing is confirmed for ones that aren't registered/haven't been done live.

I don't care what the music sounds like at this point. I just want to own a damn Sky Ferreira album and not a bootlegged copy of her EPs.

She could have worked with them already? I don't remember how long ago that was or whatever, but she easily could have already worked with some or has the dates/times set up to do it.
A 2013 release date could mean December, so if studio time with the collaborators is already a go then they could have a release date without her actually having all the material done.
Besides even if she doesn't work with them, Your Not The One, Can't Say No, Ain't Your Right I Will etc are all pretty uptempo so there's really nothing to worry about.

She said that in the end of July, so she could have worked with them. I mean, she could have been working with them a couple of months before that even, and just didn't mention it until then. When she said that, I don't think that she was referring to a dozen more songs, though. I think she meant that she was going to record 2-3 more songs with people who weren't available before, and that could be fairly quickly. And, like you said, if she releases in December, she could still have time.
I think that this version of the album is her strongest yet. After seeing her live, and hearing several of the songs that are allegedly going to be on this alleged album, I have so much more faith in her as an artist.
And to think that I was heartbroken when she said that she was quitting electropop and doing indie music.

I hope Everything Is Embarrassing makes the album. It still has a chance to be at least a top 40 hit song. I would love her to open for more pop acts like Katy perry.

Ah so jealous you got to see her live! But yeah, I've never been one to really get into live versions of songs before release, but I find myself really loving all the material she's been doing.
See I only got into Sky when she was doing more indie, although I've since looked back at her earlier material. She did say that the songs she was doing are more electronic in studio form so its really the best of both worlds.

Everything is Embarrassing is hands one of the best songs of the decade, not a single doubt. It could easily be a bonus track

I won't get my hopes up again until I actually hold a copy of the album itself. Troll Ferreira has hyped and disappointed me for too long now.
