 I agree it was the perfect "statement" lead single and sometimes I'm glad it was the lead single because of the epic performances, but "End of Time" could've had epic performances too. 
But I think they dropped the ball after RTW leaked, there was no plan. Hate or love Mathew, but I truly believe he would've found a way to turn the era around, a good manager could've turned the era around. 

 I don't even think anyone from Bey's label/camp was working her songs at radio. Like why did "Countdown" flop with such high call out scores. The public was clearly hear for it, her label/mgmt just left it to die.  
 
And even Top 40 radio was told not to play "Love On Top" 

 Usually, when songs are big on urban it starts to cross-over, that didn't even happen with LOT cuz of her label. Mess.
