I could see that thanks to Britney's gLee episode and all of the anticipation for the lead single during Fall/Winter 2010, but she's actually Tweeted about this single much, much more. HIAM got one Tweet and the fans basically did the promo.

The list was updated around 2012:
1. Rihanna (47,571,000)
2. Black Eyed Peas (42,405,000)
3. Eminem (42,290,000)
4. Lady Gaga (42,078,000)
5. Taylor Swift (41,821,000)
6. Katy Perry (37,620,00)
7. Lil Wayne (36,788,000)
8. Beyonce (30,439,000)
9. Kanye West (30,242,000)
10. Britney Spears (28,665,000)
Britney Spears should still be #10, but she should be able to pass Kanye/Beyoncé if her lead single does really well. I've been waiting for someone to make a thread to predict who will place where the next time an updated list comes out.

I'm still not convinced that "Werk Bitch" is the title of the single yet.

It literally came to a coin flip for my vote for my favorite single in that last 3 albums thread, but Piece of Me won out. Can't go wrong with either one and they're both PERFECTION!!!

Do not start, Ms. bieL. Break the Ice was Britney's biggest radio hit from Blackout. Even with a animated video and no other promo support for it, the song nearly is platinum. It remains unbothered sis!

Actually, she passed Beyonce & Kanye with Scream & Shout figures, I'm sure. The song sold over 3 million from November 2012 - present. That list above was released in January of 2012.

She'll probably announce that the single is coming out before the countdown ends. I think the countdown is for GMA, where she'll announce her album and Vegas residency and perform the single for the first time. She should announce either this week or next.

Everyone has catalogue sales to add to that. Britney is a around 33.5 million right now (more than likely closer to 34 mill thanks to untracked catalogue sales), but Beyoncé fans claim Bey is around 35.7 mill. If Britney does really well with her lead and second single and is indeed featured on a Miley single, we could pass the 40 million mark soon.

I wouldn't mind that, as long as it's Beyoncé's single.
The girls need to work otherwise Bruno Mars and Nicki Minaj will only leave room for one spot for the two of them.

Oh, I thought we had an updated version. I believe 3.2+ 100k of other singles should put Britney above kanye and beyonce.
Ima need for her to be firmly planted at #8 like her being the 8th best selling female artist in the US. She won't be able to claim 7 and 9 aint coming for her wig. #8 works fine.

Kanye West had "Mercy" (2 million+) and "*****s in Paris" (3 million total, with around half from after 2011) and catalogue sales. Beyoncé has released like five songs to radio in 2012 and has since performed at the Superbowl and done a huge tour, doing wonders for her catalogue sales. Britney is probably at #11 thanks to Bruno Mars selling like 13 million singles since 2012. Nicki may even be above her, too

8. Beyonce (30,439,000)
9. Kanye West (30,242,000)
10. Britney Spears (28,665,000)
Impressive for the one who does little to none promo whereas the other exposes herself to borderline public self-exploitation.

Digital sales count album tracks. Britney's numbers have album tracks in them, too.

Miley's an awesome digital seller. If the song turns out to be hot, I won't mind it, especially if it sells really well.

We've got a great chance of passing them. Beyoncé will probably see a career revival with her next album, but Nicki and Bruno seem to be on a very downward slope lately. If Britney's next three songs do really well, we could start moving up. Plus, BEP are no longer releasing music as a group so they should start falling out of the list soon.
