Not really. Loud sold basically Born This Way numbers with half the promotion and half the time. And Teenage Dream is up there too, albeit with a more comparable era. All 6-7 million copies.

Just because your singles are SUCCESSFUL doesnt negate the fact that you sell albums too. Genuine singles artists are Flo Rida and Pitbull.

lol no. A singles artist is someone whose single's successes don't equal album's. ADELE for example is not a singles artist even though all her singles ****in' slayed the chart. That's because she's managed to sell 25 millions with only 3 no.1 hits and a moderate one.

Rihanna on the other hand was able to produce 3 no1 during LOUD yet her album could only sell 1.7 million copies. That's a single artist. Billboard agrees with me.

It's just not logical to say that though.

You are acting as if there is some sacred ratio of singles sold vs albums sold that must be satisfied. Its like people try to work backwards and say: well this is no longer impressive because she also has this, this and this.
