Hello BeyHive! I'm DIVO, and I'm new here! Wanted my first post to be here since I'm so obsessed with the female Michael Jackson of our time! Hope to get to know you all!

I can sign autographs too, since you wanna act like a fan.
And I only said that because some of y'all were doing THE MOST in that "your fave is basic' thread, talking about how Rih is gonna die in a pool of vomit and ****. It's not a good look at all. She is a notorious Bey stan, so she obviously wasn't talking about her.

I was in the rih thread and came upon what you wrote, I dont keep tabs on you.
you generalized a entire fanbase on here due to a few comments here & there and said we needed Jesus yet the Beyhive is immature, makes sense

And this is another issue I have with atrl sometimes people are way to eager to report a thread or post. I think because everyone rather than explain why certain situations or posts are unacceptable, that's why so many atrler's are what some would call ignorant. There are plenty of posts that offend me and same with threads but I always try and explain why that action is wrong. Rather than just report it and do nothing else to neutralize the true root of the problem, discussion is important seeing as the serious topics thread because it opens and changes people for the better imo. I'm not saying there is anything wrong with reporting certain racist/homophobic threads but sometimes I think it's a bit unnecessary. Along with hypocritical to be so sensitive to everyone's feelings, yet allow that tacky ass SYG to be a mainstay on the front page.

Anyway, I really wish I could understand why people on ATRL feel the need to discuss fan bases. When they do, it's usually just to make generalizations or to just flat out bully them. It's usually the Beyhive and the Monsters who face this scrutiny the most on this site. With the Beyhive, the attacks are usually racist, which is kind of dumb because they assume everyone who stans for Beyoncé is black. A lot of the people here are gay yet so bigoted. That's another story, tho... The Monsters are generally hit with being weak and people wishing they'd commit suicide. It's ridiculous, especially when you have mods who like to instigate. I just don't know about ATRL anymore.

Agreed it's so stupid
Their are post i see getting warned and i'm just wondering to myself how this was offensive or disrespectful
While i see post that are extremely offensive not getting reported it makes no sense.
----
Syg is pointless dont think i'm ever going in there i have better things to do then drag celebrities whom i may or may not like or defending my fave's every 5 seconds.
------
Also i dont see anything wrong with a little bit of shade i dont understand how a little joke can be warned and the fact that warning points are all pretty much very subjective is somewhat an annoyance.

I agree with everything you said. To the bolded I don't think many on this site know how to shade without coming off as mean or cruel. Shade is supposed to be kinda bitchy but something you can laugh at no matter what the position. Not something so mean spirited you can't enjoy it, it's a very thin line imo

Thank you. And DG1, I distinctly remember us having a very respectful exchange about Rihanna a while back. I appreciate it.

I'm a boy.
And the other day I said, "Come and get yall's' fave" in the utmost spirit of playfulness about the whole alleged "Woman trapped on ferris wheel" incident, and some of the BeyHive got very upset about it.
But I'm not going to keep talking about it and being off-topic. It's not that serious.

Oh ok. Honestly i'm not going to jump on a bandwagon and bash you because my other friends in this Hive don't like you. I haven't seen anything that you posted that has been truly offensive a la other posters who shall not be named. So your all good in my book

Like honestly I don't hate Rihanna. I listen to her music, but the Salvation Army and the rest of ATRL stay trying it with their expired ass reads and expect us to stay calm. And when the hive attacks back they wanna play victim. The bias on this site is unbelievable. No wonder other forums refer to ATRL as the special Ed of pop forums.

The "If I Were a Boy"/"Bittersweet Symphony" mash-up on the MCSWT remains among Beyoncé's best performances.

So true like I say verbatim how are you going to act like we don't allow this messiness here, yet allow SYG a negative ass thread. To be popular and open for everyone to see it on the front page. This site makes no damn sense at times and the mods are a joke, how can you call yourself a mod and instead of bringing peace. Shade and drag, i'm not saying it's easy but if I were a mod I would have done this place so much better

I mean you have members here who are so drowned in their own self hate they don't even realize it and seek straight approval for the hell of it. Like how there are these dumb threads talking about whether or not who is bigger with straight males, as if there is something wrong with having a huge gay fanbase (see madonna). Like do they think that straight guys give a **** whether people outside their race or sexuality use their favorite artists. I think not
|
Yes, and it's kind of pathetic. People run their mouths here, but would never say any of what their saying here in person. That's what makes it all the more annoying for me.
As for looking for straight approval, that's something I can't quite wrap my head around. Our faves appealing to straights aside, some of them seem to think straight men are better than gay men. I have that Psyduck [ ] moment when I come across stuff like that here. I recall some comment here along the lines of "gay men just don't do it for me." Like, you're not gonna get anything other than a man who's into men (and women, but they're also against that) if you're gay. I just don't understand that kind of thinking. Going to back to straight men and female artists, some guys are genuinely into them but a lot of guys like them for their looks, especially female pop stars since most of it's built on superficiality. It's cliche but sex sells, and a lot of the women in pop are beautiful.
Anyway, gay or straight, fans are fans, but I guess to them having more straight fans makes their fave superior to the other pop girls.

I agree and I loathe when people say he's cute but needs to be a lil less gay, it's like gurl it doesn't matter wht you or he does you will still be gay. I also don't understand why some fonts like to act as if being nice/clean/respectful/liking certain music etc... makes you gay. Like i'm convinced many have not experienced life too much like they claim to be. Funny how some want some of these straight boys to be gay cause of their looks, but when someone deemed unattractive has strong likely to be gay no one's campaigning hard for them. ATRL is just a mess I could go all day.
