People party to most of the songs in the charts now but that doesn't mean they'll be classics and I don't know anyone who knows all them or even half of them songs. This reminds me of when you tried to say Britney was a legend because she used to be popular on MTV.
You people are forgeting that JLO is latina, but even in the latin market, she isn't the most powerful, Shakira is the biggest star. Although JLO is not far behind, but her appeal is hard to explain.
Living in a latin american country, I hear far more JLO than Beyoncé.

Legend is all about the fame. I can't imagine more famous pop star (besides MJ and Madonna)
than Britney.
