It was released as a single AFTER the Sandy Hook shooting, so radio started playing C'Mon early instead of Die Young. Then when Sandy Hook blew over, radio started playing Die Young again and at this point, C'Mon was released to radio, but they still played Die Young over it as if they were making up for lost time.
C'Mon was just released at an unfortunate time, there's nothing wrong with the song and no one really hated it.
Ke$ha is such a ****ing non-factor. I find it hard to believe anyone will remember her years from now. She's not a Paula or Cyndi Lauper where nostalgic geeks actually remember and acknowledge their existence. I don't even think Ke$ha has a precedent. She will definitely be the least remembered pop "star" of this generation.

Cyndi has Time After Time & Girls Just Wanna Have Fun
Paula has Opposites Attract (because of Family Guy) & I guess Straight Up.
Regardless of how much you don't like Ke$ha and think she's a nonfactor, TiK ToK will be remembered, considering it gets more airplay than Crazy Kids, and the rest of the singles sans Die Young.
