I always wanted the What Now video to have a kid of flashback- esque feel to it, her being depressed in her dressing room preparing for a performance and having flashbacks of the good and bad times with her lover, this extends while shes on the stage performing and on the last " What Now" note, her ex lover comes to the front of the crowd shes performing for and they lock eyes. Simple but effective, with also using the " two- sided mirror" lyrics her envisioning what they could have been like/ how they was together, stuff like that.

I actually want a simplistic yet emotional video like CKB/Stay. Your concept will only attract the media to conclude that the video is all about CB and I don't want that to happen. She doesn't need a controversial video this time, a combination of CKB's simplicity and Stay's emotions in one video will be excellent.

I disagree. I don't think the video needs to be extremely controversial (No CB refrences) but needs to tell some type of story.
- a simplistic video fit CKB and Stay because lyrically there was no climax. They're both monotone sad songs.
What Now is all about emotion, being confused. It needs to have powerful visuals to go with the high and lows of the song. Can you really see Rihanna singing the "I don't know where to go. I don't know how to feel. How to cry" sitting in a tub or laying on a bed peacefully like in CKB ?

You have a point there. That's right, rge song has its slow and fast tempo and these cannot be executed in a simplistic video. I just assume a simple video due to the fact that Rihanna (because of her schedule) may only shoot the vid within hours (not 2-3 days like WFL).
